Tattoo sleeve

This is the top part of a tattoo sleeve I'm designing for a client. The tattoo is dedicated to her family, and this first part represents her mother.

Spent the better part of Saturday at the Toronto Comic Arts Festival and had the chance to meet some great people, plus pick the brains of some illustrators I really admire. I'd like to thank Michael Cho and Cameron Stewart especially for some great insight. Great guys.

Plus I got a great sketch of Batman needing glasses from Cameron Stewart. I asked him to sketch something unusual because I figured if you're going to draw something for the 1,000th time, you might as well deviate from the norm. Plus I just dig banality for banality's sake.

alien concept illustration.

This one actually started out as an abstract photograph, which I scanned & drew over top of. I extracted the shapes I wanted & started fleshing it out to look like a one-eyed alien woman.

the Joker,

the 2nd one resembles that comic who's name escapes me. I was going for a bit of Robert Smith turned crazy and delightfully homicidal.
