Dragon painting update

in progress, working on this personal port piece bit by bit whenever I get the chance.

I decided to take that dragon sketch from a little while ago and develop it further. It's a dragon, in case you can't tell. Very dragon-ish.

Perhaps some dragon tears(which as we all know, turn into jelly beans)?

I've been studying ancient Greek sculptures for anatomy/pose reference. I find there's so much information about form, so much character in the faces. Plus it's a lot easier to project a personality into a painting when using the sculptures as opposed to photo reference of people.

Of course it's always best to use a live model wherever possible.
